Prostate Massage - Introduction

The terms prostate massage or prostate milking are used for the purpose of describing the massaging or the stimulation of the prostate gland in men. This can be done for medical purposes or sexual purposes.

Just like the most erogenous zone of a female - "The G-spot", males also have a similar zone. The prostate gland is famously called the "P-Spot" or the "male G-spot". It is involved in and is an integral part of the male sexual response cycle. It is also very essential for ejaculation as the fluids in the prostate combine with the semen and are released during orgasm. The prostate can be stimulated with either fingers or prostate massagers.

Prostate Gland Contd...

Location of Prostate Gland

As displayed in the previous post, the male prostate gland is situated exactly at the base of the urinary bladder. The first part of the urethra is surrounded by the male prostate gland. Urine exits the body through from the penis after going from the bladder to the urethra.

Functions of Prostate Glands

The prostate gland surrounds the urethra. It presses against this part. This is done in order to help in controlling the urine flow.

Prostate gland produces a fluid which contains minerals, sugar and other substances that form an important part of the semen. It is is this mixture of semen and the prostate fluid which carries the sperm during reproduction.

Something Interesting
Most of the males are very hesitant to allow a female to touch or explore their anal region. The inhibition is natural as it is not considered to be an erotic zone. However, many men are not aware of the highly erogenous zone that is present in their anal regions. That is true, the anal region contains the prostate glands which is a very erotic organ. It is a zone which can provide heightened sexual pleasures if it is properly located and carefully stimulated.

The stimulation is either done by self or the partner, by inserting the finger into the anus or by using prostate massagers which have proved to be extremely helpful and effective.

Prostate Gland

The prostate gland is an exocrine gland present exclusively in the male mammals. This gland is responsible maintaining the alkalinity of the semen. The prostate fluid comprises around 25 to 30% of the semen which is vital for the sperm to remain active and survive for a considerable period of time. The gland is made up of smooth muscles which help to expel the sperms during ejaculation.

Structure and Regulation
The structure of a prostate gland is similar to a walnut. Its size is almost the same as an average sized walnut. It is covered by muscles of the pelvic floor. These muscles are active during ejaculation and help in transporting the prostate fluid to mix with the semen.

However, the normal functioning of the prostate gland depends on the presence of the testosterone hormone which is produced in the testicles of men.

Shown below is the location of the prostate in the body of the male.
